Winter Packs for Refugees in Birmingham

Winter packs are a gesture of kindness and welcome for people on limited funds who may not have the necessary cold weather items, but also provide games and activities and small treats such as chocolate and cosmetics. We work with accommodation centres to makes sure each pack is appropriately tailored for the age of the recipient, from newborns, older children, teenagers and adults. Each year we look to do over 100 packs – can you help?

We’ll even send you out a thank you postcard to enable you to give to a loved one to show that you’ve bought them a gift for someone in need (please put in the notes if you would like this)

Closing date for pack is 20 December 2023.

There are 3 levels of packs to purchase all contain the same items but different levels of funding allow us to buy/ do more for the money,

1. Basic packs are £10 – this covers the cost of the pack
2. Extra packs are £15 – this allows us to buy better quality items
3. Super packs are £20 – this allows us to scale up even further or add in extra items.

Winter packs are put together and distributed by the KHAR team at Christmas to people living in initial accommodation centres, each includes:

• Hats
• Gloves
• Socks
• Toiletries and cosmetics
• Chocolates
• Playing Cards/ Games/ Toys
• Colouring Books and pencils
